A note for your Diaries....

STRUCTURE:
5 possible races – 4 to count
All races on the Stirchley Handicap course – variation on a past course
7:00PM for a 7:15 start time

HANDICAPS:
Runners who ran at least 3 races last year – their handicap will based on their average race time from the best 3 times from last year – this will remain fixed for the series.

Runners who ran less than 3 races last year – their handicap will based on their average race time from last year – the organizer has the right to change the handicap during the series as necessary.

New runners – their handicap will be based on a 5k/10k race time – The organizer will alter the handicap during the series as necessary.

Thank you to the 500+ runners that have entered our 2012 BUSCH UK Ironbridge Half Marathon! Trust your training is going well. We’ve had a rush of entries this last week so this weekend Jonathan is sending out an additional 100 race information sheets along with your numbers. This year we will also be taking entries on the day. Good Luck & look forward to see you all on the 1st April.

All marshals will receive a ‘goody bag’ as a token of the Clubs appreciation of your efforts in making the day a success for everyone.
As in previous years any members competing in the 1/2 are asked to supply a relative or friend to stand in.

As most of you are aware we are holding the Telford Harriers Presentation evening on Saturday the 21st January 2012.

Note from Jeff.... If you fancy getting out of the house between Christmas & the new year, come along to a Harriers Christmas run

Thursday 29th a 5ish mile run from the Masons Arms Kemberton. Starting at 11.30am.
Friday 30th another 5ish mile run from either the Huntsman Little Wenlock (not spoken to landlord yet but will do soon) or from Forest glen car park at bottom of Wrekin. Again 11.30 start.

Both runs are social runs so everyone is welcome. NO ONE will get left behind.

Mason arms do bar snacks so will be stopping after run for food & drinks. If you are intending to come & stop for food let me know so I can book tables for us. If you just want to come after run,just for food again let me know.

Jeff will speak to Huntsman soon but thinking is we can have the same arrangement.

AGM Update

Update on the key items discussed at our AGM ....

- Subscription rates for the coming year – No increase is subs next year was proposed and passed.
- Decide on any resolution which may be duly submitted to the meeting beforehand – none were submitted to the AGM.
- Vote on Stirchley Recreation Centre becoming a permanent venue for Thursday club runs – By a majority vote, Stirchley will now be our permanent venue for Thursdays and Horsehay will remain as our venue for Tuesday.
- Election of club officers – A full list of names will be posted shortly.

Key items to be discussed include: Subscription rate for the coming year; voting on Stirchley Recreation Cente as a permanent venue, and election of Club Officers. It would be lovely to see you there!
